Under God Removed by NBC during 2011 U.S. Open.. TWICE! Full Segment! - News

Shout out to writer Jeff Cobb at http://www.GM-Volt.com (I'm just a fan no affiliation) I love the Chevy Volt! I'm tired of gasoline! I couldn't believe NBC edited out "under God" twice.. they recited it twice and edited it out both times, the AP article that is going out right now which is relayed to hundreds of papers doesn't even acknowledge this, it states "Under God, Indivisible" was omitted. The second time the kids said it they edited out "One Nation, Under God, Indivisible" both times they took out "Under God". Disturbing. I just posted the apology video on my channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNvEzNh62FQ Also I've avoided doing this for about 12 hr's but what the heck. I should use all the eyes on this video for something. I love the Chevy Volt. I dont' work for GM, I know no one who does, I don't even own a Chevy, I drive a Toyota. But I'm concerned with our countries purchase of foreign oil and sending our wealth out of the country. So, look into a Volt, It's American Made and you can drive 15,000 miles a year plus on electricity which costs a third of what gas does. And if you run out of battery power it uses gas. So you can drive to grandma's. In summary, republican or democrat, Christian, Muslim or Athiest, the Volt is good for the U.S. and good for the world. Assuming you want to drive and not walk or ride a bike. Oh, and it's fast. Back to the NBC debacle. NBC decides to remove Under God, Indivisible from the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of Sunday's 2011 U.S. Open coverage. They not only removed it once, they removed it twice during this Video. I'm sure they will make me take this video down so pass it on to your friends before they do. The phrase "under God" was incorporated into the Pledge of Allegiance June 14, 1954, by a Joint Resolution of Congress amending §7 of the Flag Code enacted in 1942. On March 11, 2010, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit upheld the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance in the case of Newdow v. Rio Linda Union School District. In a 2--1 decision, the appellate court ruled that the words were of a "ceremonial and patriotic nature" and did not constitute an establishment of religion. Judge Stephen Reinhardt dissented, writing that "the state-directed, teacher-led daily recitation in public schools of the amended 'under God' version of the Pledge of Allegiance... violates the Establishment Clause of the Constitution." On November 12, 2010, in a unanimous decision, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston affirmed a ruling by a New Hampshire lower federal court which found that the pledge's reference to God doesn't violate students' rights. A United States Supreme Court appeal of this decision was denied on June 13, 2011.
